The society is open to everyone who is interested in the study of history by means of talks, excursions during the summer months, publications, etc.

Meetings are held in the Church Hall, Church Street, Ilkley on the third Thursday of the month from September to April at 7:30pm. Subscription £7.50pa, visitors £2 per lecture.
