BYDP houses a number of initiatives that work with young people aged 8 to 30. Services include non school based learning for referred and open access young people, we offer volunteering opportunities, improving employability, work experiences, project work during term time, school holiday periods, evenings and weekends. Services: 8-13's young people's support service delivered by PALZ+ Bradford Youth Development Partnership (BYDP). Young people are referred mainly from Manningham, Girlington and Heaton areas.
PALZ+ BYDP is part of a small consortium of partners: YMCA, JAMES and Barnados, between the partners we cover Bradford District.
Services: 8-12s & 13-16s young people’s service delivered by Youthstart (BYDP). Young people are recruited to meet 3 main outcomes funded by Children In Need. Project covers the Bradford District.
Services: 12-19s young people’s sessions delivered by Brighter Futures (BYDP). Young people are invited to attend youth club activity sessions weekly. Project covers the Manningham Ward and young people from other areas are welcomed. Project is delivered in partnership with Youthtrain.
Priority groups target:-
Services: 16-19s young people’s volunteering delivered by Ambitions (BYDP). Young people are invited to join up as volunteers (especially if coming from one or more of the priority groups listed below), places are limited in number. Project covers the inner city ring road areas and young people from other areas are welcomed.
Services: 16+ young people and adults I.T. awareness, access to internet, and job search support. Every Wednesday 2pm-4pm at the Affinity Sutton Community Centre, 51 Kyffin Place, Bradford, BD4 8NQ. Project is delivered in partnership with EASA.
