Project Worker – HOPE service

Closing Date: Tue, 23 May 2017

Closing time: 09:00

We are transforming and improving our domestic abuse services, integrating the signs of safety approach, systemic practice and evidence based trauma focused interventions to develop holistic support and recovery to children, young people and their families. Our focus is children and families who have experienced domestic abuse, working in partnership with Early Help Services. This is an exciting time developing our integrated whole family model. Building on strengths of families, we offer a range of short term interventions to meet assessed needs to promote recovery. We offer a space where children can explore feelings, tell their stories and build resilience through talking and creative play, and also support parents/carers to develop their capacity and confidence to provide a stable and safe home environment which supports their child’s emotional recovery. We are developing systemic interventions with whole families and parent/child relationships, including therapeutic group work and consultation and support to professional systems.

Are up to the challenge?

You will have creativity, commitment and passion for promoting the emotional recovery of children, parents and families who have experienced domestic abuse; have skills in engagement, assessment and safeguarding as well as experience and skills in delivering child and family interventions. We have a high number of referrals and small capacity, so we need our staff to be able to work in a very flexible and timely way whilst maintaining high quality. In return you will be able to contribute to an exciting evolving and innovative vision and have ideas and skills to help us take the service forward.
