Asylum Seeker and Refugee Community Development Mental Health Worker (Arab Speaking)

Scale 23 : £21,057, 18.5 Hours (Pro Rata)

Sharing Voices (Bradford) is an award winning community development mental health organisation. We work with people from Black and Ethnic Minority communities living with mental distress to enable recovery and facilitate the development of appropriate and responsive mental health services.

We seek an enthusiastic individual (Arab Speaking) with experience of working with vulnerable groups of Asylum seekers and refugee individuals and communities living with mental distress. An essential requirement is that you have skills in supporting and befriending people living with mental distress. Furthermore you will demonstrate and posses knowledge and awareness of the cultural framework and context of ASREF communities to support effective mental health recovery.

The post is fixed term until 31 March 2018.
