Saltaire Stories is the education programme of Saltaire World Heritage Education Association. SWHEA was registered in 2014 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Our vision is to create new ways of learning about Saltaire, building on work by generations of local historians and researchers since Salts Mill opened in 1853. We aim to complement other visitor services, promoting links between heritage organisations, local societies and commercial enterprise. Saltaire Stories employs an archivist and a learning officer. Its affairs are overseen by a board of trustees and it has a team of experienced and dedicated volunteers.
We now need to recruit a secretary to help organise the affairs of the charity.
The main duties of the secretary will be:
To ensure that committee meetings are properly administered.
To ensure other meetings, such as the AGM, and events are properly administered.
Keep membership records up-to-date (unless there is a membership secretary as well).
Monitor committee member action points
