Salary: £2,639 (net pay for 3 month contract).

Role Type: Fully residential, non-manager.
You will be the key contact for residential seasonal staff in the second phase of the NCS programme,responsible for logistics and pastoral support, and providing a safe and high quality experience for the young people participating. This fully residential role will involve evening and weekend work, with long working hours and participation in a night-shift rota. You'll have free 'live-in' accommodation and food for the duration of the role.
We run a fast-paced and challenging programme which requires a high level of flexibility. In addition to the responsibilities outlined, you may be required to undertake any duties within your skills & capabilities which The Challenge reasonably considers necessary to meet the needs of the young people on the
programme.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship between NCS The Challenge and the residential accommodation site, ensuring strong lines of communication are maintained throughout the summer delivery period.
- Run induction and briefing sessions for each new cohort of young people & seasonal staff as they arrive at the accommodation venue, including fire & personal safety, food hygiene and behaviour, and create visual schedules for up to 10 staff and 84 young people.
- Provide First Aid, care and support as required (you'll be given First Aid training ahead of your start date).
- Support the seasonal staff team with evening activities, mealtime supervision, bedtime routines and the night-shift rota as required.
- Run and monitor risk-assessments for the site, including room inspections, and report any damage, breakages and/or losses in a timely manner.
- Order and distribute food for all staff and young people, monitoring stocks and making additional purchases where necessary.
- Ensure all programme resources & equipment are in the right place at the right time to ensure the smooth running of the programme, including liaison with First Transport & taxi providers.

Essential:
- Willing to work residentially with staff teams and large numbers of young people Proven organisational skills, and experience in managing and overcoming logistical issues within a demanding environment
- Proven ability to manage professional relationships, with excellent interpersonal skills
