We are seeking an experienced Advice Worker to deliver an Advice Outreach Service to older people across the Bradford district. You will have a passion for providing person centred approaches to supporting older people to maintain their independence and improve their wellbeing. You will ensure that individual needs are properly assessed and comprehensively met in a way that enables the older person is aware of the options available, considering particular requirements and circumstances that can be enhanced by the provision of information and advice on a variety of subject areas such as benefits, housing, health & social care, leisure & personal matters.

This role will be based within community venues and provide appointments in people’s homes, specifically targeting hard to reach groups, or individuals that may have difficulties accessing traditional advice provisions; this will include older people based in rural locations and where English is not understood or spoken.

The post will require travel and full driving license, appropriate insurance cover and use of a car is essential.

Salary £18,919 per annum (PRO RATA)
28 hours per week (occasional evening or weekend work may be required).
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
