Community Handy Person Role – 21 Hours

Age UK Bradford and District is committed to ensuring that we enable, empower and support people over 50 to live well as active and engaged members of their communities for as long as possible.

Our Community Handy Person will work across the district to provide practical and DIY home support on a charged for basis.
The handy person will be responsible for the recruitment, induction and support of volunteers and supporting the Trusted Trader database.
We would like you to have experience of working in a community setting, and be committed to using a person centred approach to meet identified needs. You should be well organised with great communication skills, used to effective team working, but also have the ability to work independently.

The post will require travel and full driving license, appropriate insurance cover and use of a car is essential.

Salary £9,275 per annum
21 hours per week with occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
