Senior Domestic Violence Support Worker

A Specialist Domestic Violence Service Provider is seeking a Senior Domestic Violence Support Worker to be responsible for the day to day running of the Project and for managing a team of support workers, to work as directed by policies and procedures in providing a high quality advice, support and advocacy service to victims of domestic Violence.

Applicants will provide regular supervision to support workers, will have responsibility that the work carried out by the support workers is of a high standard. To work effectively as part of an Inter-agency partnership team and support partners through the provision of specialist advice.

Applicants will have evidence of strong casework management skills, good written and verbal communication, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries. Direct experience of providing support to women and an understanding of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence is essential.

Requirements:

  • Access to a vehicle is essential with Business Insurance.
  • This post is subject to an enhanced (DBS) check.
  • This post is open to women only due to the nature of the role. The occupational requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
