Organisation and role outline
‘Your Back Yard’ CIC are community regeneration specialists who work in areas of most need to help get community projects off the ground. We are currently working on a number of projects around parks, play areas health and mental health, and improving life chances for all sectors of the population.

We are advertising for a part time bookkeeper role, which is a role we anticipate will grow significantly in the New Year as we take on new work.

Main Duties
• Paying staff
• Assigning payments to appropriate projects
• Undertaking budget
• Monitoring spend against projects
• Filing an annual report
• Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
• Preparing profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts.
• Preparing cash flow statements
• Using the software system QuickFile
• Coding transactions to the right account, or project

At present, with a small turnover and relatively low number of transactions, we only require someone for 1 and a half days a month. However, the company is looking to grow its activity in a number of areas, and as such it is anticipated the hours could increase significantly in the New Year. The pay will be £15 an hour.

The role could suit a numerate undergraduate or post graduate student looking for part time work. You will need good IT skills and an interest in community projects and activities.
