Senior Support Worker Full Time

A specialist Domestic Violence Service Provider is seeking to recruit a Senior Refuge Support Worker to be responsible for the day to day running of the Project as well as managing a team of support workers. To work as directed by policies and procedures in providing high quality advise, support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.

Applicants will provide regular supervision to support workers and will have responsibility to ensure the work carried out by support workers is of a high standard. Applicants will be expected to provide out of hours on call, on a rota basis.

To work effectiviely as part of an Inter-agency partnership team and support partners through the provision of specialist advice.

Applicants will have evidence of strong casework managment skills, good written and verbal communication. Direct experience of providing support to women and an understanding of current welfare rights/civil/criminal legislation relating to domestic violence is essential.

Requirements:

Access to a vehicle is essential with Business Insurance.

This post is subject to an enhanced (DBS) check.

Job Type: Full time, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week

Required education: Bachelor's

Required experience: Must have 3 years experience of managing a team.

Must have 3 years experience of working within a refuge, directly supporting women fleeing domestic violence and abuse.
