Keighley Pathways Crisis Worker

Keighley Pathways is a multiagency service which has been designed to support people in Keighley and surrounding areas with any crisis they may experience. We run a daily drop in service and have specialist workers available on an afternoon covering needs such as welfare and benefits, substance use, mental health and health & wellness. We support people to manage their current crisis and referring on to other agencies for ongoing support if needed.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting people in crisis and the role will involve:

  • Running a daily drop-in service and have specialist workers available on an afternoon covering needs such as welfare and benefits, substance use, mental health and health & wellness.
  • Supporting people to manage their current crisis and referring on to other agencies for ongoing support if needed.
  • Being able to engage with the individuals presenting in crisis and support and deliver a wide range of interventions for individuals and make onward referrals.

These will include:

  • Providing advice and information on local services
  • Supporting people to manage their crisis
  • Supporting people to by acting as an advocate for services e.g.; Utilities
  • Delivering evidence-based interventions
  • Working with partner agencies
  • Completing relevant paperwork and updating monitoring systems
  • Assisting people to access wider services, including completing referrals to onward agencies.

LOCATION: Based at Project 6 Keighley and across Bradford district

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Service Manager

GRADE: £22,658

HOURS: 36 hours per week including some weekends - Fixed Term Contract until April 2021
