Intervention Worker

Horton’s Intervention and Prevention Service (HIPS) provides housing related support to people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or at risk of losing their tenancy.  HIPS is an outcomes focussed service, delivering person centred support interventions to ensure a range of outcomes are achieved.

In the role of Intervention Worker, you will deliver personalised support packages to clients, to ensure housing related support outcomes are achieved. You will work in partnership with your colleagues and other agencies to assist clients to achieve a range of outcomes around accommodation, health, education, training and employment, and improved financial management. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the individual progression outcomes of clients.

You will have experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of the issues they face including mental health, substance misuse, offending or homelessness.   You will have experience of managing a caseload of clients including developing support plans and providing appropriate support, advice and guidance.   You will have experience of working in close partnership with relevant agencies and organisations to provide holistic support to clients and  up to date knowledge of the welfare benefits system. 

You must have a valid driving license and use of vehicle for business use.
