Want to work in a challenging role?
And make a real difference to the lives of others?
Horton’s Move On Service provides tenancy management support in self-contained accommodation. The support and accommodation is accessible to single people and couples who have previously lived in temporary accommodation. The service works flexibly to provide people who require tenancy support, to reduce the risk of tenancy breakdowns.
In the role of Move On Worker, you will deliver a personalised approach to support, with a view to developing independent skills in your clients so that they are able to manage a tenancy and sustain their accommodation. You will have worked in a similar housing management setting previously and have experience of working in partnership with other key partners, as well as taking a collaborative approach to meeting client need and reaching positive outcomes of independence and successful tenancies.
You will have experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of the issues they face including mental health, drug and/or alcohol issues, history of offending, those in crisis situations or homelessness. You will have experience of managing a caseload of clients including maintaining their home, developing support plans and providing appropriate support, advice and guidance in a community setting.
You must have a valid driving licence and use of vehicle for business use.
We offer great benefits including:
· 6 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
· Opportunity for excellent Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
· Free car parking and travel expenses
