Capacity Builder

Capacity Builder (37 hours per week)

Salary Circa £23,000

18-month contract.

REN is an umbrella organisation supporting the BAME voluntary sector and aims to improve quality of life for BAME communities, improve access to services, tackle racism and xenophobia and improve equality of opportunity.

REN is looking for a Capacity Builder to work with BAME groups and communities to help deliver the COVID BAME Project over the next 18 months to help support the multi-agency effort to control the Covid 19 pandemic and to support local communities to better protect themselves from this virus.

The focus of the project will be BAME communities. However in order to support a local comprehensive response to all our residents, we will be working collaboratively with other partners delivering similar projects and programmes targeting other parts of the community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for REN as a Capacity Builder to help deliver the Covid BAME project by building community networks and working relationships with partner agencies, supporting projects and communities to effectively deliver a robust response to the pandemic.

Also required to do all other tasks commensurate with the role including strengthening REN as an organisation so that the Covid BAME project is delivered more effectively.

The project is funded by the Council’s Public Health Department.
