Trustee

The Kirkgate Centre is looking for trustees!

Do you want to:

  • Make a positive difference in your community in these difficult times?
  • Support bringing back over 2,500 community activities a year?
  • Help shape the future of Shipley's community centre as a community venue?

Our trustees are volunteers who oversee the running and development of the Kirkgate Centre. They are local residents just like you. Let’s make Shipley an even better place to live! Join our board of trustees. Trustees provide oversight, ensuring the centre is well run and best meeting the needs of the community.

Whether you are an experienced trustee, or wanting to take your first step, we’d love to hear from you. We are especially keen to recruit trustees with skills, experience or interests in the following areas:

  • Change management
  • Community asset transfer
  • Community-led activities / community development
  • Finance
  • Fundraising
  • Governance
  • Staffing and employment
  • Arts and culture: music, cinema, exhibitions etc

We are looking to recruit a new group of Trustees early in 2021, to get going straight away. Full induction and training will be offered.

If you wish to apply, please do so by 28th January 2021. To request an application pack or to discuss the opportunity further contact the Kirkgate Centre, telephone 01274 580186 or 07960 424067 or email admin@kirkgatecentre.org.uk
