Job Type : Full time - 37 hours

Salary: £23,836.00 per year

A Specialist Domestic Violence Service Provider is seeking a refuge support worker to provide a high quality of service to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic violence and are living in refuge accommodation.

Applicants will have evidence of strong casework management skills, good written and understanding of current criminal legislation relating to domestic violence is essential.

You must also have a good knowledge of domestic violence and the issues faced by black and minority survivors, housing, welfare and experience of working within either a women's refuge or residential setting.

Applicant must possess 2 years or more experience of working directly with women fleeing Domestic Violence and Abuse within a refuge environment.

Requirements

- Access to a vehicle is essential with Business Insurance.

- This post is subject to an enhanced (DBS) check.

- This post is open to women only due to the nature of the role. The occupational requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Essential - 2 years experience of working with women fleeing domestic abuse

Essential - UK Licence with Business Insurance.

Level of Education - Masters or Certificate of Higher Education
