Town Hall Manager

This post has been created to continue the work of the board of trustees over the past three years. We have taken the Town Hall from an under used space not really connecting with silsden to a dynamic, innovative and stable multi-use building with a reputation for making asset transfers work and staging music acts.

Interested?

You'll be skilled in helping local people work together and as happy supporting our 30 user groups as you are working with volunteers and new users. You'll be able to balance the local benefit of a youth dance group with the commercial revenue that we take from events and large ticketed music events.

You'll be attracted by working in Silsden, first mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book as "Siglesdene" the most important village in Craven, and by the Town Hall’s reputation. You'll be enthused by our capacity for live music events, including nationally and internationally renowned artists, alongside bridge / chess clubs and helping to develop town wide festivals. You'll lead a small team and help us develop our work reducing social isolation, whilst looking for new ways to maximise both income and the benefits a historic building can bring to our town.

You'll be a dynamic and collaborative, a person whose first response is "yes we can." For us, attitude is as important as track record. We don't just want a building manager; we want someone who can develop our role as one of the many heartbeats of our community. This role is a huge opportunity for the right candidate to build on our solid foundations, and to live and work in a vibrant and exciting place.
