Free hints and tips on selling to the public sector
Forthcoming workshops to help your organisation bid for public sector contracts.

Are you interested in selling to public sector clients, but
don't know where to start?
Or have you tried bidding for contracts in the past and not
had any success?
Help is at hand! The Enterprise Europe Network
inYorkshireis organising a series of free workshops, designed to
help local firms and organisations bid more effectively for public
sector contracts.
Even in these current times of budget cuts, the public sector
still spends millions of pounds each year, buying everything from
cleaning services to construction works and from staples to
sausages! However, many potential bidders are put off by the
procedures involved and all the paperwork.
A panel of speakers from the public sector will talk delegates
through the EU rules which govern their purchasing, explaining
everything from how to go about finding out about the contract
opportunities in the first place, to preparing a tender and how
bids are evaluated. Along the way, they will give lots of
practical hints and tips to help you bid and there will be a chance
to ask your own questions. The event will close with
suggestions on where to go for further help and advice.
The series of free half-day workshops starts with two sessions,
one in Normanton on 23rd May and one in Brough on
29th May. Further events will run in South and
North Yorkshire in the Autumn.
