Introducing the Business Connector for Bradford North
Adele Dolby is bringing community groups & businesses together.
Business in the Community's "business connector" programme is
helping communities in Bradford North.
"Business in the Community
is one of the Prince's charities, a group of not-for-profit
organisations of which The Prince of Wales is the President. The
Business Connector programme was launched in 2012 following a
£4.8million commitment from the Big Lottery Fund. Today for £1 of
funding, more than £9 in support has been leveraged into
communities. This programme has shown real positive value for the
communities in which Business Connectors are active."
Connector is a talented individual seconded from business or
the Civil Service and placed in a local community where there is
need. Their role is to listen and understand the local needs and
help to create partnerships between local organisations and
businesses in order to tackle social issues."
In Bradford, Adele Dolby has been seconded from HM Revenue &
Customs and is the Business Connector for Bradford North. She would
like to talk to voluntary and community groups in
Manningham, Heaton, Toller, Eccleshill, Undercliffe and
Bolton. Adele may be able to help make links with
businesses that lead to skills-based volunteers providing
professional skills to a charity or recruiting management committee
