BEES is part of City of Bradford YMCA. The project runs environmental education activities for adults, young people, individuals and community groups including weekly conservation volunteer days which provide training and the opportunity to make positive change to wildlife sites and our own nature reserve and community orchard.

The conservation volunteer group meet on most Friday mornings at Culture Fusion. Please contact us before joining an activity or volunteering so we can have a chat about what's involved. https://www.bees-ymca.org.uk/projects/conservation_volunteers

We work with schools and playschemes providing interactive educational sessions including visits to BEES Urban Nature Reserve and Bowling Park Community Orchard https://www.bees-ymca.org.uk/projects/schools/education

Membership is open, but we require volunteers to attend a short induction before volunteering. No previous experience is necessary and training is provided.

BEES also organises annual Apple Day celebrations each October https://www.bees-ymca.org.uk/index.php/projects/apple-day
