The West Yorkshire Branch is a group of volunteers, many of them with current or past experience of MND. They can provide support and information to people living with MND, their families, carers, supporters, volunteers and fundraisers.
Our monthly Carers Group offers mutual support to anyone currently caring for someone with MND.
Alternatively, our monthly Garden Centre meetings are a chance for anyone interested in the work of the MND Association to find out more, or just meet with old and new friends in an informal setting.
We also have a team of Association Visitors and Care Volunteers trained to offer support, practical advice and information on all aspects of living with MND, from a listening ear to help with voice banking.
The association has a national helpline called MND Connect phone 0808 8026262 open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and 7pm to 10.30pm. Calls to this number are free from landlines and mobile phones within the UK and do not appear on itemised bills. The MND Connect team offers information and support on all aspects of motor neurone disease, including symptom control, practical management, improving quality of life, clinical research and signposting to other organisations.
