Voluntary organisation support officers

Voluntary organisation support officers at Community Action Bradford & District work with community groups to help them set up, register as a charity or company, get policies, find small grant funding, publicise activities and more! Help can also include organisational health-checks.

Bradford Assembly provides forums on different themes that promote the role of the voluntary and community sector within local planning, policy, strategic decision-making and commissioning. The Assembly is run by CNet who can also provide support and training for individuals who want to become active citizens and get involved in public decision making 01274 305045.

Managing money

Groups that need help with managing money can contact Dave Collins, Community Accountant at West Yorkshire Community Accounting Service (WYCAS) 01422 835192. Dave can carry out free health checks and help groups to set up financial systems.

WYCAS also offers accountancy, interim book keeping and other finance services - charges apply.
