Bradford has just received a very positive Joint Inspection report in relation to their Domestic Abuse multiagency response, which highlighted the important role of the voluntary sector. Family Action Hope service was part of this journey to success, contributing to ensuring the child’s voice and the development of evidence based practice through a relationship based group work programme.

At Bradford Hope service we are transforming and improving, to evolve with Early Help developments, integrating the signs of safety approach, whole family approaches and evidence based interventions. We offer holistic support in the recovery to children, young people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Are up to the challenge?

You will have creativity, commitment and passion for promoting the emotional recovery of children, parents and families who have experienced domestic abuse; have skills in engagement, assessment and safeguarding as well as experience and skills in delivering family interventions. We have a high number of referrals and small capacity, so we need our staff to be able to work in a very flexible and timely way whilst maintaining high quality.

Project Worker (Hope) will have the opportunity to develop their child and family assessment skills and deliver a menu of short term interventions including group work and family work with parents and children as well as undertaking direct work with children aged 5-13 years to promote their recovery from the impact of domestic abuse.
