Protecting Community Assets

Start date and time: 7th May 2019 7:00pm
End date and time: 7th May 2019 9:00pm

Do you want to protect your community’s post office, shops or local pub from being closed, sold off or turned into something else? Are you concerned about the loss of services and amenities in your area?

This free training explores the powers and rights residents now have to register land and property as 'assets of community value' in order to better protect it and to give time for a community buyout. We will look at what you can do under the Localism Act and the steps people need to take if they wish to do this. We will also look at the general idea of 'community owned assets' and examples of this in practice including land and buildings.

IMPORTANT! We need to know the numbers attendiing this session so please book on by either emailing Jonathan Crewdson using mail@neighbourhoodproject.org.uk or telephone or text him using 07941 385306.
