Sustainable Travel & Community Transport

Start date and time: 2nd November 2021 2:00pm
End date and time: 2nd November 2021 4:00pm

This talk will examine the need for sustainable forms of travel if we are to achieve sustainability. We will look at examples of this, from greener forms of public transport through to promoting walking and cycling, and how communities can promote this through legal rights such as the neighbourhood development planning framework.

We will also look at the idea of community transport, how neighbourhoods can own and run their own transport services, and successful examples which can be replicarted.

IMPORTANT! We need to keep an eye on numbers for this session so please book on by emailing us first using mail@neighbourhoodproject.org.uk
