Destitution Project Coordinator

Abigail Housing provides supported housing to individuals at the end of the asylum process. This includes new refugees who have been made homeless after leaving Home Office accommodation and refused asylum seekers who cannot safely return to their country of origin.

We are looking for a capable and experienced person to oversee and manage the support needs of refused, destitute asylum-seekers housed by the Destitution Project. Based in our Bradford office, the successful candidate will manage the project’s properties and be responsible for the on-going work and development of the project.

All shortlisted applicants must have the following*:

  • Voluntary or paid work experience with asylum seekers and refugees
  • An understanding of housing management
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative
  • Experience of project fund-raising
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Driving licence and use of a vehicle for work
