Finance Officer

We are recruiting for a part-time Finance Officer who will be responsible for:
• ensuring the efficient running of our financial systems and procedures so that the organisations’ financial position can be reviewed at any time
• maintaining accurate and up-to-date management accounts, including budgets and year-end accounts
• liaising closely with the Treasurer and Scheme Manager to produce reports for the Board of Trustees, funders and others as required.

To be successful for this role, you will be used to dealing with management information, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication. You will be organised, self-motivated, proactive and able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
You will have a minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English. Ideally AAT qualified or to at least AAT Level 2/3, part qualified as an accounting technician or equivalent qualification/experience. Having a good understanding of the details of charity accounting will be an advantage.

You will have a track record of working within the financial book-keeping field for at least 3 years, including using accountancy software, preferably Quickbooks Online, and IT software including MS Excel.

You will be based in our Thornbury office but with some flexibility to work in our Keighley office as required. This is a part-time role but there is the opportunity for this role to be combined with the current vacant Admin & Data Officer role for the right candidate. This post is for a fixed term 6 month contract with a view to extend subject to funding and successful probationary period of 6 months. A basic DBS check is required.
