Families First/Targeted Early Help Key worker

Initially contracted to 31st March 2020 – hoping to extend

Families First in Bradford was set up to implement the Governments Troubled Families Programme and our current contract is until 2020 as a partnership delivery although the post is based at JAMES. Families First has become an integral part of Targeted Early Help.

It is essential the candidates have valuable experience of working with families and can assess and plan in partnership with parents, children and young people. Experience of Signs of Safety and multi agency meetings is desirable.

You must be able to work within a team co-operatively with excellent communication skills and self-motivation. You should have experience of working with issues of mental health, drugs and alcohol, poor school attendance, domestic violence and/or anti social behaviour in a child and/or family setting. You must be able to set clear measurable targets for change with families and keep up to date and thorough plans and records of intervention.

You will be working in a multi agency service which draws on the skills and expertise of a range of partners. We are seeking a person who is committed to making a real difference to families within the Keighley area of Bradford.
