This expanding and leading women only organisation is looking for two experienced Family Outreach Workers to support an exciting new project “Active Families”’ funded by Sport England. The role entails;

• Engaging with the families and local communities from low income to improve their access to a range of physical exercise and sport/Fitness activities.

Project Worker: Salary £19,819 pro rata
18.5 hours per week
4 years fixed term contract

Essential criteria candidates must have:

1. Minimum of 1-years working with families from low income on a 1-1 basis
2. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in coordinating and organising health&welbeing activities for BAME families
3. Excellent understanding of the benefits of sports and physical activities on overall wellbeing
4. Experience of working in partnership setting up community based physical and sport initiatives
5. Experience of planning and delivering project outcomes timely and successfully
6. Proven track records of working to outputs/targets
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
8. Experience of setting up monitoring and evaluations systems and reporting
9. Good knowledge of the legislation surrounding working with families
