14 days per annum commitment with £150 per day compensation for time/ loss of income, plus travel and out of pocket expenses

Inspired Neighbourhoods, a growing social business is looking for a Chair of Trustees who will play a key role, working alongside their Chief Executive, in leading this independent and ambitious organisation working for and with civil society to increase its effectiveness and impact. 

This is a rare opportunity for an individual who is emotionally intelligent, intellectually robust and politically astute to lead the board of an organisation that is able to take a truly broad view across the sector and can play a key role in shaping its future. 

The new Chair will be highly credible across both private, public and voluntary sectors, able to demonstrate an understanding of the complexity and nuance of the organisation’s agenda and will work to develop and support a strong narrative for both the evolution of their vision and business model.   

The Chair will convene and facilitate a high performing and engaged body of Trustees; they will also be active in engaging and leveraging existing and new funders, investors and donors in support of the organisation’s work. 

You will be motivated by shaping and promoting philanthropy, impact and the wider civil society agenda and by working with a team of highly motivated and committed individuals working in this area.
