Service Manager - Sanctuary

Mind in Bradford is looking for an exceptional and committed individual to join the Leadership team as a Service Manager for our Sanctuary Service. This role is key to the successful delivery of our new strategy, which is to promote mental well-being and empower and help people experiencing mental health problems to manage and work towards recovery and fulfilment.

The Service Manager will take overall operational responsibility for the development and delivery of our award-winning and innovative crisis support service. This service is an evening offer as part of the district’s Safe Spaces initiative and clients are referred by the First Response crisis support line as an alternative to A&E.

You will oversee a team of committed mental health practitioners who offer mostly one-to-one crisis support to clients attending pre-booked appointments at our city centre head office. The Service Manager will provide leadership, effective management, supervision and support. They will help Mind in Bradford to continue to be a key and respected organisation within the system of Mental Health and Wellbeing provision in the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of line managing, ideally within a health or social care setting. You should be very comfortable working with data, have excellent literacy skills, and be able to establish positive relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. You must be able to work flexibly as the role requires.
