Project 6 is an award-winning voluntary sector drug and alcohol charity based in Keighley, West Yorkshire and Sheffield. Our core purpose is to provide opportunities and choices for individuals, families and communities to create meaningful and sustainable change in their well-being.

Progress, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, provides a range of activities and opportunities for service users and volunteers with a history of alcohol misuse. The project complements the more formal treatment pathway and helps people in recovery to move on to activities, training and employment in the wider community with the aim to build a sustainable recovery. Project 6 is looking for to a Team Leader and Recovery Workers join the Progress team.

We are looking for individuals to support new Progress service users and assist them to join a thriving, well-supported and lively recovery community. As part of your role you will coordinate recovery activities, ensuring they are peer-led wherever possible and facilitate good links with other partners and services.

You will have at least two years experience of working with people with alcohol issues and extensive knowledge of the treatment pathway and recovery communities. You will also have some networking and project management experience. Project 6 has a well-established recovery community and you will be working as part of a vibrant and creative team. It will, therefore, be important that you have a similarly positive and solution-focused attitude.
