Objectives of the Shaping Spaces Project

 

We are looking to appoint a dynamic worker to help develop our existing youth provision to support young people aged 16-25 with their emotional health and well-being.  Building on our existing Shaping Spaces programme and extensive BEES environmental experience the project will pilot ‘ecotherapy’ approaches to improving health and well-being and reducing social isolation and loneliness.

 

Job Purpose

 

To work as part of a team to design and deliver a programme of activities to support young people aged 16-25 to achieve the following:

  • Reduce social isolation by building connections/friendships/peer support through activities in outdoor spaces 
  • Improving young people’s connection to/belonging to their communities through accessing green community spaces 
  • Addressing loneliness/social isolation and breaking down barriers for entry into employment/education/training
