The Down Syndrome Training & Support Service Ltd is a charitable company based in Bingley with outreach across the North of England and beyond. We work with families and professionals living and working with people who have Down syndrome aged birth upwards offering support through many activities and services designed to promote the wellbeing of families and the education, development and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. 

We are looking for Job Coaches to help us with an exciting new project which aims to create meaningful work opportunities for young adults with Down syndrome. You will have experience of supporting young people with Down syndrome or a learning disability and the ability to work with employers, ensuring that the young person receives good support to enable them to work.  You will have confidence to raise issues within the workplace and work constructively with staff to resolve problems when they arise.

PRIME OBJECTIVES OF THE POST

• To support a young person in their place of work


• To support the training of the young person in the work place and at our centre


• To act as a good role model


• To act as a liaison between the work place and DST&SS
