Retail Assistant

Based across Bradford District

Age UK Bradford District is an independent local charity, which supports older people to live their best life.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Retail Assistant, to provide cover in our retail outlets across Bradford District.

This is a key front line role and will be responsible for ensuring that the Charity’s retail outlets provide the best possible service and choice to our customers.

The Retail Assistant will ensure that the retail outlets gain maximum income for the charity, making sure that the performance standards required are met through ensuring that all retail functions are implemented effectively, the provision of a high standard of customer and donor experience and the support and supervision of volunteers.  The Retail Assistant will maximise ‘added value’ opportunities afforded through the outlets and raise public awareness of the Charity’s Services and non-retail and trading income opportunities.

Retail experience is essential for the role and exposure to a charity environment is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills are a must.

Full driving licence, access to a car and business use insurance is required, as travel throughout the District is essential for this role. The role is subject to satisfactory references and DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for by Age UK Bradford District.
