We are looking for an Engagement Coordinator to work with our local communities to raise awareness of the Amaze Yourself Project and recruit potential entrepreneurs to participate. The role will sit within the Engagement and Partnerships Team and the candidate should be active and connected in the Bradford communities understanding the challenges and rewards of engagement in low socio-economic communities. 

Amaze Yourself 2019 will deliver an accessible enterprise programme that builds the capacity in the local communities in the city of Bradford, specifically to young people (18-24) from low socio-economic backgrounds and from both the White and Black and Minority ethnic community. The approach used is person centered and holistic, focusing on the individual needs. By the end of the programme, participants will display self-efficacy and be more confident. 

From developing an idea to understanding how to set up a business, the programme will enable participants to see what is possible with their lives and the opportunities available to them. The programme facilitates the acquisition of entrepreneurial, employability and interpersonal skills; enhances capacity building; increases business knowledge; raises aspirations by involving local entrepreneurs (who act as role models); and promotes additional business support opportunities. 

The successful candidate should be driven with the ability to inspire the target audience to participate in the programme and be responsible for administering and coordinating an impactful project.

Please note that this is a 9 month, fixed term contract at 0.5 FTE.
