Bradford Cooperative Association is looking for new Board Members to help us realise our future plans. We’re after people from all walks of life who believe in our cooperative vision and want to help develop new opportunities.

We comprise of two parts: Bread + Roses, a cafe and workspace, and a creative agency called Chapel Street Studio. With a focus on the local community, we run projects for young people, around mental health and for those with low incomes.

Still in our first year of trading as Bread + Roses, we are facing the universal challenges of unlocking our long term sustainability and strengthening resilience within our organisation.

We are seeking to appoint 4-6 voluntary board members to support our management team as we work together to build a sustainable platform for our members and the people of Bradford.

We are interested in hearing from people with skills, knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Business leadership including HR and financial management
• Cooperatives and membership
• Funding
• The third sector
• Community development
• Strategy and planning
• Food, drink and events
