Froglife is a national wildlife conservation charity with a specific focus on the conservation of amphibians and reptiles and their habitats. Central to our ethos is to encourage as many people as possible to take part in wildlife conservation actions.
We focus particularly on individuals who for socio-economic reasons are often excluded. Froglife has been awarded a two year grant from the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to work with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or mental health problems. We are recruiting an experienced Learning Officer to independently deliver this project in Bradford. It could work for someone looking for part time work alongside other commitments, as a secondment 1 day a week from another organisation, or as additional regular work for a freelancer.
Working with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or mental health problems. Sessions will be delivered one day a week (day to be confirmed) and run from 10:00 - 14:00 allowing time for admin and planning before and after. Travel to site is not included as part of the working hours as this is considered personal travel time to place of work. Participants take part in a 6 week group project followed by an optional 6 week personal project. We will work with 4-5 groups in Year 1, each in a different ward of Bradford South, with 8-12 individuals per group.
