Outdoor Play / Forest School Practitioner

Get Out More CIC is a social enterprise on a mission to help people engage with nature to feel better in mind and body. We run outdoor programmes, including forest schools, outdoor play and community engagement programmes for people of all ages across West Yorkshire. We use local woodlands, parks and natural spaces to bring people together, be active and feel good, working towards our vision: communities and nature growing healthier together.

We are looking for an experienced practitoner who can deliver exciting outdoor play programmes for children and their families in and out of school settings in Bradford and Keighley as part of our Better Start Bradford and Keighley Big Local programmes. Our ideal candidate will be a friendly, dedicated and proactive individual who can share their love of the outdoors with people from a range of backgrounds.

The Practitioner will run regular, accessible and engaging free forest school and outdoor play activities in parks, woodlands and outdoor spaces in the Better Start Bradford area (Bowling & Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton) and the Keighley Big Local area (roughly Keighley East ward). Due to the way the post is funded they will split their time as follows:

Forest School Play Project: 75% of time. Approximately 6 sessions per week.

All for Play: 25% of time. Approximately 2 sessions per week.
