Social Enterprise Coordinator

Our charity Sacar have secured grant funding from the People’s Postcode Lottery to recruit a Social Enterprise Coordinator to develop a range of social enterprises which promote and provide employment skills and opportunities for adults on the Autism Spectrum.  This is an exciting prospect for a creative and innovative individual who has a good understanding of Autism to take these companies from their infancy to thriving self-sustainable businesses.

Our Social Enterprise Coordinator will be responsible for the development of :

• A Community Café – serving a range of affordable local produce, whilst providing regular accessible events and activity days for the local community.
• Autism Bricks UK – recycling preloved Lego bricks, products and activities.
• Autism Gifts UK – an online platform for the sale of products and gifts created by adults on the Autism spectrum.
• Potential new Autism specific social enterprises

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

• An understanding of what it takes to start and develop a business.
• An understanding and previous experience working with adults with an Autism Spectrum Condition.
• Experience of leading a team and/or coordinating volunteers.
• Good communication and customer care skills.
• Motivated and motivational.                       

Hours - Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary - £18,000- £24,000 p/a (According to business growth) plus pension
