Bradford Cyrenians provides a range of supported housing, hostel and floating support provision for homeless men and women, former rough sleepers and services that specialise in supporting men fleeing domestic abuse and ex-offenders. Our services are flexible and user-led, with a focus on prevention, enabling individuals to take control of their lives.
We wish to recruit for the following candidate to work at our Men Standing Up Service: Housing Management Support Worker
Working 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday flexibly between 9:00 and 18:30
Salary will be £16,000 per annum
This role will be temporary for 12 months with a view to review
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a Housing Management role at our Men Standing Up Service across Bradford district. Duties include assisting with processing referrals, liaising with key stakeholders, Signing tenants up to their accommodation, Dealing with HB claims and ensuring that they are up and running. Helping service users to claim the correct benefits. Reporting repairs to the landlord and chasing up until complete. Dealing with tenancy sustainment issues in order to avoid tenancies failing. Conducting health and safety visits to properties. Conducting re-let duties so that all flats are ready to be let.
They will be highly motivated, able to use MS Office package, and have the passion, enthusiasm and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people They will need to hold a full UK drivers licence and be able to travel across Bradford District.
