Volunteer Development Worker
(Assisted Volunteering) – 18 hours per week
Salary scale NJC spinal point 19
£24,799 (actual £12,399.5) + 5 % pension
Fixed term – 18 months initially, possibility of extension if future funding is secured
To involve and encourage people with additional support needs (mental health problems/physical or sensory impairments) who are often isolated and socially excluded, to take full advantage of the opportunities offered through volunteering.
To supervise and manage a team of volunteer support assistants.
Experience of working/volunteering with people with additional support needs and previous experience of voluntary / community work is desirable.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
