Age UK Bradford District is an independent local charity, which supports older people to live their best life.
We are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant, to provide cover in our retail outlets across Bradford District. The role is offered initially on a temporary basis until 31st March 2020.
The Retail Assistant is a key front line role and is responsible for ensuring that the Charity’s retail outlets provide the best possible service and choice to our customers.
The Retail Assistant will ensure that the retail outlets gain maximum income for the Charity, making sure that the performance standards required are met through ensuring that all retail functions are implemented effectively, the provision of a high standard of customer and donor experience and the support and supervision of volunteers. The Retail Assistant will maximise ‘added value’ opportunities afforded through the outlets and raise public awareness of the Charity’s Services and non-retail and trading income opportunities.
Retail experience is preferred for the role. Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills are a must.
The role is subject to satisfactory references and DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for by Age UK Bradford District.
Salary £15,000 per annum
35 hours per week over 5 days Monday to Saturday
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
