Support and Employment Coordinator Ilkley, Full Time (40 hours). This role may include weekends and evenings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a passion for positive change for people with learning disabilities. 

Adults and young people with a learning disability are at the heart of what we do at Outside The Box (OTB): they are our ‘members’ and a critical part of the overall OTB Team.

We work with our members to help them to fulfil their potential, to learn and achieve their goals. Members participate in OTB café to learn new skills, improve confidence and self-esteem, achieve qualifications, gain meaningful experience of the world of work and as appropriate progress into paid employment. The café currently supports c. 50 members and we have a team of 3 part-time Support Workers with 4 additional bank relief support workers.  We now wish to build on our success to date, to grow and diversify our employment services for people with a learning disability. 

You will ensure the delivery of personalised support, learning and development that enables all our members to gain maximum benefit from their involvement with OTB and OTB Works. You will supervise and support our teams of the Café Support Workers and Job Mentors, working closely with the OTB Skills and Employment Manager, Operations Director to: plan and deliver Team supervision, guidance, rota coordination and leadership; and to help ensure high quality and impactful support services to all café members. You will provide frontline service delivery for OTB Works, providing direct hands on support where required with members in work, and will lead on the delivery of our OTB Works Programme.
