Location: West Yorkshire (Bridge- Bradford)

Contract: Permanent | FTE Salary: £25,897

Hours: 40 hours (including some weekends and evenings) plus On-Call telephone support via a rota (additional allowance)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Navigator with relevant experience to join the team in West Yorkshire.

Horizons is a pilot project funded by the Ministry of Justice to provide housing choices for people leaving prison. The service is being delivered by a partnership consisting of Foundation, Turning Lives Around and The Bridge Project. Its aim is to reduce homelessness amongst people leaving HMP Leeds and who want to resettle in West Yorkshire. Support is given from 12 weeks before a release date to identify suitable housing that will be available on release. Further support and guidance are given to maintain the accommodation whilst living in the community.

The Lead Navigator will manage a small caseload whilst line managing Navigators. The role will include supporting the Service Manager to provide a co-ordinated approach across West Yorkshire that ensures that all service users are given appropriate housing choices. They will provide day-to day staff guidance to enable effective support to individuals in the service with the aim of reducing homelessness amongst prison leavers.

Navigators may be supporting people with multiple disadvantages who may display challenging behavioural issues.
