Salary: £26,999 Pro Rata
Hours of Employment: 14 Hours
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per annum plus Bank Holidays in England
Responsible for: Administrative, financial, fundraising and operational support to the Swan Song Project.
Reports to: Creative Director
Are you the right person to help drive the development of a new and exciting charity? The Swan Song Project gives those facing the end of their lives, as well as their loved ones, the opportunity to write and record an original song. Since being founded in 2017 the charity has written songs with over 50 people and works closely with 3 hospices across Leeds and Bradford.
We are growing and aim to give people across the country the opportunity to celebrate a life in their Swan Song. We believe that music is an incredibly powerful tool for dealing with difficult times and that no-one should have to die without the chance to let their song out.
This role will be key in helping to take The Swan Song Project to the next level. The Business Manager will be part of the leadership team, working closely with, and reporting to, the Creative Director to develop and implement plans for the charities growth. The role will be quite varied and the right candidate with be flexible and open to taking on new challenges.
Some of the key responsibilities will be:
Supporting business planning
Ensuring our policies and procedures meet best practice
Communicating with partner organisations and supporters
Setting up and managing robust financial systems
Recruitment and HR management
This role will not require any direct work with our beneficiaries but the right candidate will have great communication skills and be able to discuss the sensitive nature of our work with warmth and humanity.
