South Asian Men/BAME Community Engagement Mental Health Worker

£17,972 | 18.5 Hours (Pro Rata)

Sharing Voices (Bradford) is an award winning community development mental health organisation. We work with people from Black and Ethnic Minority communities living with mental distress to enable recovery and facilitate the development of appropriate and responsive mental health services.

We seek an enthusiastic individual with experience of working with vulnerable groups of South Asian Men and communities living with mental distress. An essential requirement is that you have skills in supporting and befriending people living with mental distress. Furthermore you will demonstrate and possess knowledge and awareness of the cultural framework and context of South Asian communities to support effective mental health recovery.

The post is a fixed term contract and will be reviewed on a consistent basis and may be subject to termination due to funding situation and or reviews around performance.
