2 x Energy Advice Workers, Bradford Energy Advice, Bradford 37 hours per week

Grade 2 (lower): £19,974 - £22,584 per annum Fixed term 12 month contract

Family Action is delighted to have been awarded grant funding from the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme to run the Bradford Energy Advice Service which will be launched on September 1st 2020.

The Bradford Energy Advice Service will:

• Work closely and link with our existing advice service in Bradford

• Deliver high quality energy, fuel poverty and income maximisation advice

• Support users to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life

• Increase income and reduce debt

• Work as part of a whole systems approach and with key stakeholders in the field

In this exciting new role as Energy Advice Worker you will provide service users with support through one off advice or through case work as appropriate. In addition to working in the Advice Centre you will be required to deliver short workshops in community settings and deliver support in users’ homes and outreach community venues across Bradford. You must be able to travel across the Bradford district to outreach venues and home visits.

The successful candidates will need substantial experience of providing advice on welfare benefits and debt management, and be experienced in working holistically with clients when tackling their issues. For one of the posts you must be able to speak Urdu and or Punjabi fluently.

The successful candidates will be motivated, passionate practitioners who strive for excellent standards and are committed to achieving National Energy Action City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency.
