Project 6 is recruiting a MAST worker for Bradford Royal Infirmary

Project 6 is an award-winning voluntary sector drug and alcohol charity based in Keighley, West Yorkshire and Sheffield. Our core purpose is to provide opportunities and choices for individuals, families and communities to create meaningful and sustainable change in their well-being.

This post is working in our Multi-agency support team (MAST), which is a VCS partnership Led by Project 6 and the Cellar Trust and Age UK. This team focuses on supporting people through the hospital system and out into the community, ensuring their needs are met and reducing readmissions.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced alcohol worker, with experience of being based in a hospital setting.

Key Purpose

  • To directly intervene with patients in a hospital (Bradford Royal Infirmary) setting to help them to address their problematic alcohol use and associated issues and so reduce their impact on health care provision.
  • To provide support referrals to the community for these patients, once discharged from secondary care, with the aim of helping them to make the positive lifestyle changes that will aid their recovery.
  • To enable these patients to engage with mainstream services.

GRADE: £22,658

HOURS: 36 hours per week  including weekends- Fixed Term Contract until April 2021
